The Sixth Inquirer Lifestyle Series: Fitness.Fashion with Samsung Festival

The 6th Inquirer Lifestyle Series: Fitness Fashion with Samsung Festival, was the 2013 occurrence of Inquirer Lifestyle Series: Fitness Fashion with Samsung Festival, a lifestyle event held from June 30, 2013 to November 24, 2013 focused on the sectors including: Philippine Politics and Economy, Emergency Operations and Disaster Relief Management, The Executive Branch of Government, Travel & Tourism Industry, The Creative Industry, Banking and Finance, Internet Trends and IT Industry News and Development, Shopping and Local Retail, Outsourcing, Agriculture and Aquaculture, Automotive, Overseas Filipinos: Migrant Workers and Global Labor Markets, Energy, Power and Utilities, Telecommunications, Retirement, Healthcare and Human Welfare, Crime Prevention and Law Enforcement, Environmental Protection, Conservation, and Rehabilitation, Education, Food and Drug Industry, Tariffs and Taxes, Expatriate Communities and Their Cultural Influences, Health and Wellness Industry, Globalization and International Trading, Gambling and Gaming, Real Estate and Housing, Government-run Programs and Services, Sports, Entertainment, Home and Entertaining, Dining, Fashion and Beauty, Youth and Popular Culture and Relationships. 

It is the flagship runway project of Samsung, the Philippine Daily Inquirer Lifestyle, Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited  and the Peninsula Manila. 

This year's theme was: "From Asia to the World: Go Beyond the Social Media Age towards the Philippines 2016". The theme towards the symbolization of quarter-century events of the 2, 013 years and its vision for the Philippines towards the new millennium 2016, and twenty-seven years after the restoration of Philippine Democracy in 1986.
Exactly eight years, seven months and thirty-one days ago, on Saturday, January 1, 2000 at twelve midnight, the Philippines and the rest of the whole world celebrate the New Year 2000 and the first decade of the third millennium and twenty-first century. It's twenty-two years after the first EDSA People-Power Revolution led to the downfall of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos on February 25, 1986 and seven years after the second EDSA People-Power revolution on January 20, 2001, 25 years after former Philippine Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. was assassinated on August 21, 1983, 36 years after Martial Law was declared by former Philippine president Ferdinand E. Marcos on September 21, 1972 and 115 years after The Philippines declares independence from Spain on June 12, 1898.
The Inquirer Lifestyle Series: Fitness.Fashion with Samsung is the flagship runway project of Samsung and Philippine Daily Inquirer Lifestyle. The fashion show is in cooperation with the Makati Business Club (MBC), the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCor), the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
Fashion becomes less a spectator sport when sport itself becomes the fashion.
Last Thursday, July 31, 2008, Inquirer Lifestyle staged the rousing, filled-to-the-bleachers (despite the heavy rains and flooding) curtain-raiser to its Lifestyle Series of events with “Fitness.Fashion,” a catwalk team-up between some of the country”s top designers and best-selling activewear brands, at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila in Makati City.
Co-presented with Samsung, it drew guests who cut across the fields of fashion, business and commerce, arts, media and entertainment. With the support of HSBC and Peninsula, the show had 12 sought-after designers melding their creations with the latest brand collections: Kipling with Vic Barba, Samson and Claparols; Fila with Lulu Tan-Gan; Nike Golf with Anthony Nocom and Protacio Emparces; Speedo with Jun Escario, James Reyes and Louis Claparols; Adidas with Patrice Ramos-Diaz and Rhett Eala; Marks & Spencer with Arcy Gayatin; Aigle and Oxbow with Rajo Laurel; Bench with Ezra Santos, Joey Samson, Val Taguba, Albert Andrada, Furne One and Michael Cinco; Folded and Hung with Cary Santiago, Penshoppe with Lord Maturan, You Magazine with Reyes, and Edwin Ao and Puma with Ivarluski Aseron and Randy Ortiz. "Fitness.Fashion" also scored a coup with the runway debut of fitness enthusiast and sports advocate Sen. Pia Cayetano. Theme

On January 19, 2013, Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III announced the theme for 2013 Inquirer Lifestyle Series: Fitness.Fashion with Samsung Fashion Show.

This year's theme was: "From Asia to the Rest of the World: Going Beyond the Social Media Age towards the ASEAN 2015". 

Even the Project was served as a symbol of democracy one hundred and seventeen years after the Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal was shot at Bagumbayan on December 30, 1896, one hundred and fifteen years after General Emilio Aguinaldo declares the Philippines' independence from Spain on June 12, 1898, seventy-two years after United States declaration of war upon Japan on December 8, 1941, sixty-seven years after the Philippines attained full independence from the United States on July 4, 1946, fourty-one years after former President Ferdinand E. Marcos declares Martial Law on September 21, 1972, thirty years after the Assassination of former Philippine Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. on August 21, 1983 who had just arrived at Manila International airport at 1:04 in the afternoon after a three-year self exile in the United States when he was shot in the head while being escorted from an aircraft to a vehicle that was waiting to transport him to prison, twenty-seven after the EDSA People-Power Revolution on February 22 to 25, 1986, this makes both the Newspaper and the Company as instruments of democratic freedom after the downfall of Philippine President Ferdinand E.
