On October 1, 2010, after seven years with The Philippine Star, a new formal joint venture of three companies: People's Television Network (PTV), the Philippine Daily INQUIRER (PDI) and Cable News Network (CNN). A new channel would have a localized version of CNN channel separated from the Asia-Pacific feed of CNN International was named "CNN International Philippines."
CNN International Philippines formally signed on the air on October 1, 2010 at 6:00 a.m. with 25 original staff members based at its headquarters in Manila, and bureaus in Cebu City, Bacolod City, Davao City, Dagupan City, Zamboanga City, Cagayan de Oro City, Cotabato City, Naga City, Camarines Sur, Tacloban City, Laoag City, Santiago, Isabela, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, City of San Fernando, Pampanga and Batangas City. The inaugural broadcast on the channel was an introduction by Ted Turner who announced:
Since its debut, CNN Philippines has expanded its reach to a number of cable and satellite television networks, several web sites, specialized closed-circuit networks (such as CNN Airport Network), and a radio network.
The weekday schedule as it follows:
